After a June 1st Outlook update (version 1704, build 8067.2157), we found that Outlook has an issue that is crashing Aid4Mail when migrating or converting to a PST file or MAPI. You will have most likely received the error message "The RPC server is unavailable".
If you have Outlook 64-bit installed and you are using the 64-bit version of Aid4Mail (you will see "O64" in the footer of Aid4Mail), we advise you to revert back to this version of Outlook: Version 1703 (Build 7967.2161)
You can either do this manually (instructions below) or by downloading the latest version of Aid4Mail and following the prompts shown to you before you do a migration or conversion to or from Outlook 2016.
To do this manually, please follow these instructions
- Close Outlook
- Download the file attached to this article
- Open Windows Finder
- Double-click on the file to run the CMD batch file
- Open Outlook (a restart may be required)
If you have the 32-bit version of Outlook installed, please see this article.
If you have any questions or issues, please contact us by raising a ticket.
